What is Math Club?
The main goal for Cameron College Prep’s Math Club is to have fun, learn a ton of math, and prepare for the several math competitions coming up this spring. Mathletes will prepare for meet every Tuesday.
When and Where?
The club will meet weekly every Tuesday after school from 4:15 to 5:15 PM. Students will meet in Mr. Pritchard’s room (006).
Participating in Math Club is a great opportunity for students to learn how to research and problem solve on their own behalf. Students will engage in mock competitions, math games, and debates that empower students with the ability to read, write, explore, and communicate mathematics with confidence. Additionally, students will compete in a state competition at MTSU.
6th and 7th graders with an interest in problem solving, advanced mathematics, or debate are encouraged to join! Students are required to provide their own transportation. Interested students must be self-reliant, disciplined and committed—they will be required to complete independent research and prepare on their own for the Middle Grades Mathematics Contest.
